Quick and painless

So after yet another shameful absence I have decided to post a few ramblings. Firstly want to say big up to Dave Tran who recently dropped into Sydney on a whirlwind tour. You can check out his blog on the links on the right. The gorgeous Emma has also been on the move - travelling to New York for two and half weeks. You can check out pics of her trip at her MySpace which is also linked on the right, you can see what -12 C look like!
Next up I got a sweet web radio station a little bird told me about. Head over too Viva Radio to check out a sweet selection full of all kinds of random beats. You can also download the player for easy access. Make sure you click on the 'Contributors' tab on the bottom left - this lets you browse archived play lists. In other music news - new albums buy the Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon, The Klaxons have all dropped or are about to, they all come highly recommended.
In terms of live music I recently checked out the Good Vibes and St Jerome's Laneway Festival. Good Vibes was massive in every way. 40,000 people, Snoop Dogg as the surprise guest and 35 degree weather. Defiantly the best festival I have been too inside Centennial Park and Snoop wore a Souths jersey (above) - too good. The Laneway festival was just the opposite - small setting at the The Rocks near Circular Quay, indie bands and working phone reception (mainly due to the small crowd). While the sound was rather poor still a great way to spend a summery Sunday listening to Camera Obscura, Peter, Bjorn and John and The Sleepy Jackson. Hope to be attending both again next year - being the festival whore I am. That's all for now - will post some new pics and vids soon. Will try to keep post's smaller and more frequent. So to my millions of readers - till next time...
